A special focus of the clinic is the treatment of patients with cleft lip, jaw and/or palate. In the consultation hours, initial examinations are performed and a detailed treatment plan is discussed with the parents or the affected persons.

There is close cooperation with physicians from the pediatric clinic, the ear, nose and throat clinic, the anesthesia department, as well as orthodontists and speech therapists. Primary operations on the lip and palate are performed between the 6th and 12th month of life.

During regular follow-up visits, any necessary corrections or second interventions are planned and the respective treatment results are checked.
